About the post–

POST- are looking to hire an experienced Business Development Executive for a global market-leader that supplies high quality products into the HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, and catering) industry.

This role is office based, generating new business by outbound focussed sales activity, including phone, email and social media (primarily LinkedIn).

Although outbound focussed, the role will be consultative, researching and calling predetermined prospects to sell relevant products and book field-based appointments for larger potential customers who require a face-to-face meeting.

What you’ll be doing as a Business Development Executive:

  • Researching and contacting prospects and gain appointments for our field-based consultants
  • Selling own label and some third-party products, directly to smaller customers where an appointment isn’t required.
  • Updating your ZOHO CRM with new prospects to build data and maximise opportunity
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and supporting the field-based teams to drive business goals
  • Effectively using the sales process to sell on brands/quality/value and to support repeat business
  • Achieving substantial daily KPIs
  • Communicating and building rapport with customers through effective listening
  • Achieving monthly revenue targets set by UK Business Development Manager
  • Attending remote/in-person team meetings, conferences and training days when requested
  • Displaying excellent product/service knowledge and being able to demonstrate the ability to deliver this knowledge and product information over the telephone or in a presentations

What we need from you–

  • Proven experience of success in a high-volume sales environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to self-motivate and work autonomously as well as within a team
  • Evidence that you can achieve stretching targets
  • Ability to create strong first impressions over the telephone, creating the right environment of trust and empathy to build strong initial rapport
  • Understand and utilise a sales process, with effective questioning
  • Show resilience and tenacity to get through the toughest of gatekeepers
  • Excellent organisational and skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Driven to achieve personal and team objectives
  • PC literacy - Microsoft Office and CRM systems

What you’ll get–
