POST– are recruiting for a Support Engineer to work for a rapidly expanding technology company who are at the forefront of innovation and creativity based in the centre of Leeds.

You’ll be assisting the customer service teams who provide the support for the products. They need skilful engineers to learn, live and breathe the technology to help customers get the best from the product.

Role responsibilities of a Support Engineer include:

  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues using a variety of tools and resources.
  • Escalate any incidents or issues that cannot be resolved at first line to the appropriate team as required. Ensure all information is provided to enable a prompt resolution.
  • Add and maintain internal knowledge base articles to allow frequently encountered issues to be resolved quickly.
  • Ensure all service requests are completed against agreed service levels.
  • Assist in the production of weekly reports on service levels and, based on analysis of the report, recommend service and product improvements.
  • Assist with any other ad-hoc IT duties as required e.g. device testing, infrastructure set-up.

Skills and experience required for the role of Support Engineer include:

  • Customer service is absolutely key to this position, so a friendly and helpful personality is required to deal with people over the phone, via email and face-to-face.
  • Excellent IT skills - knowledge of iOS and Android mobile platforms.
  • Good understanding of home network technology and troubleshooting methods.
  • A self-motivated problem-solver.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Linux knowledge desirable but not essential.
  • Two or more years experience in a similar role.
  • Currently in the UK, with permission to work in the UK.
