About the post–

POST– are on the hunt for a Lead Developer to work for one of the UK's leading eCommerce agencies. They work with amazing brands across the world to help them to create eCommerce websites that not only look good but sell more.

They're looking for a talented Lead eCommerce Develoepr to join the team at their Leeds base - helping to ensure that their eCommerce projects are delivered to the very highest standards.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the development, build and testing of key eCommerce web builds  and work with the Technical Director to scope project requirements. You’ll be working with other developers to plan projects, as well as reviewing the output of the team to ensure the highest quality output.

During each day you’ll work with clients, Account Managers, Web Designers, Developers and Marketers to ensure that everyone’s on the same page and that projects are delivered to the highest standards.

What we need from you–

  • 5+ years of front-end development experience
  • An ability to interpret the needs of a client and work with a project manager to scope requirements
  • Somebody who can review the code of colleagues, and work with them to improve their skillset
  • Great communication - in person, via email and on the phone
  • Brilliant organisation so colleagues and clients receive the right updates at the right time
  • A passion and interest in Commerce and online retail
  • Experience and proficiency using cloud-based project management apps such as Jira and Confluence
  • An expert multi-tasker - quick on their feet and calm in a crisis (not that we have many of them, but good just in case)

Required Skills

  • HTML
  • Javascript (Vanilla, jQuery, Gulp)
  • CSS / SASS / SCSS
  • GIT / Version Control
  • Experience with the Shopify Platform, or another ecommerce platforms.

 Desirable Skills

  • Liquid, Shopify’s templating language
  • Experience with Ruby
