About the post–

POST– are recruiting for a 2nd Line Technical Analyst to work for our client who is one of the UK's leading IT Service Providers at the forefront of the industry, delivering cost-effective and innovative IT solutions to businesses across the country.

It will be your main responsibility to provide IT support to their managed services customers. The successful analyst will perform 2nd level technical analysis of systems and service issues as they occur across the managed services customer base. You will then research to troubleshoot and resolve the issue, depending on the complexity of the issue will escalate to a higher-level team member. You will be responsible for assessing the monitoring toolset and recommending and delivering service improvements in line with business requirements.

 Essential Experience

  • 3 - 5 Years demonstrable experience in IT Support
  • Worked in a Managed Service environment
  • Solid track record supporting Microsoft Server technologies
  • VMware deployment and support experience
  • Veeam deployment and management experience
  • Storage support experience e.g. NetApp, QNAP, Synology
  • Good Understanding of IP routing and switching
  • Professional remote monitoring and management toolsets

 Desirable Experience

  • MS Exchange support and administration
  • SQL support and administration
  • Cloud platform experience
  • Firewall Support experience
  • Understanding of Internet Connectivity (ADSL / SDSL / MPLS) etc.
  • Knowledge of PHP and automation (APIs and basic app integration)
  • Citrix

Advantageous skills

  • Domain, SSL and DNS experience
  • Technology certifications
  • Linux administration and troubleshooting
  • VoIP
  • Experience with Solarwinds and PRTG
  • C# experience

Other Requirements

  • Full Clean UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work 7.5 hours daily on a rota basis (Mon-Fri between 8am-6pm)
