About the post–

POST is recruiting for a Lead Developer to work for our client who is a fast growing, private equity-backed e-commerce business. They are looking for Lead / Full Stack Developer with at least 4 years of experience across a variety of technologies.

Working directly alongside the co-founders you will be tasked with turning the company’s vision for an online experience into a reality, building products and features that their customers love.

Your first task will be to plan and take ownership of a development road map which reflects the technical requirements of the overall company strategy. They want you to have a key say in their digital vision, be agile and output focussed, whilst providing development input which becomes invaluable.

Their roadmap will require you to take a hands-on role crafting intelligently responsive front-end user experiences that work across all devices. To build robust backend services as part of an event-driven architecture. Devise autonomous features that their customers love and talk about, whilst being responsible for designing and developing applications to interface with databases.

Being part of a small team with big aspirations, you will have a significant influence on the direction they take and the results of your work will be very visible. Where their roadmap requires there will be a requirement for you to manage additional external resource or lead the process of bringing further resource in house. Assessing the contribution of others and ensuring best practice coding standards are met will be a key requirement.

What we need from you–

  • Good understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • Experience of front-end frameworks or third-party libraries such as JQuery, AngularJS, or REACT
  • Experience working with databases such as MySQL
  • Exposure to DevOps
  • Appreciation of good digital design. Understanding of UI/UX design
  • Experience using Shopify highly desirable
  • Ability to be strategic and executional
  • Exceptional communication and planning skills
  • Ability to manage a team and delegate where required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A good understanding of Agile / SCRUM methodology
