About the post–

POST- are recruiting for an experienced web developer with a strong focus on front end development to join a team of digital experts who are at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, while delivering skilled solutions for some of the world’s biggest and leading brands.

As a front end developer, you’ll need to maintain the high standards our client is known for and want to raise the bar higher. Along with the rest of the development team, you’ll want to push the boundaries and help shape the future direction of the business from a technology perspective.

With a history of commercial web application design and development and exposure to the full project life cycle, you must have a working knowledge of software design patterns and designing for best application performance.

The job involves:

  • Working in cross-functional project teams to provide timely solutions to challenges.
  • Working closely with the design team to problem-solve and create lean and modular interfaces.
  • Being able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical people

What we need from you–

  • Ability to write clean/dry code and follow best practices such as modular build techniques
  • Write HTML/CSS (Scss) for a wide range of projects and target devices
  • Strong JavaScript skills
  • Some exposure to AngularJS
  • Build systems (Gulp/Grunt)

Skills and experience it would be nice if you had (if not, don't worry - our client provides a positive learning culture):

  • Experience working with Sketch/Illustrator
  • Git version control
  • Working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Object Oriented JavaScript
  • Experience of unit testing such as QUnit, Mocha or RSpec
  • ES6 knowledge
  • UI/UX methodologies
  • Experience of TDD or BDD
  • Continuous Integration
