About the post–

POST- are recruiting for a Graduate Web Designer / Digital Designer to work for an exciting multi-channel retailer who are leaders in online fashion retail, across a variety of brands.

The company has built up a long history of providing affordable fashion through multiple delivery channels, with the main focus now being online eCommerce.

This role is responsible for taking the lead on the design, layout and development of websites, working as a part of a larger design team under the guidance of a Senior Web Designer. The role is heavily focused on delivering marketing and brand requirements while also optimising sites and email campaigns to ensure their continued success.

You will be working on digital banners, 'mobile first’ responsive emails, homepage updates, static & Endeca (CMS) page creations along with app & mobile website updates. This is a great opportunity for you to apply your design skills across web functions with opportunity for constant learning and development. Some experience is necessary so please be prepared to supply links to your work/online portfolio.

What we need from you–

  • You should have strong communication skills and are a team player and an aptitude to learn with a good understanding of usability, user experience and the general workings of eCommerce sites and related media.
  • You will ideally have a good working knowledge of HTML & CSS along with a good understanding of Photoshop & Dreamweaver and experience with different browsers, devices and email clients.
  • You should have the ability to adapt to new and existing technologies such as HTML5 and be aware of JavaScript, Jquery & ASP.

For this role,

  • you will need to have good planning & prioritisation skills combined with a creative flair and good time management skills.
  • Have a desire to learn across a number of different online disciplines (ie. Marketing, Finance, Web etc) with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to time critical deadlines.
  • You will have good all-round PC skills (MS Office), excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have a flexible approach and an ability to adapt at short notice is essential.
