About the post–

We are partnering with a successful market-leader in their search for a strategic Business Development Manager to join one of their fast growing divisions.

Our client is a FTSE100 business who has had significant market growth since their launch in 2000 and now dominate their industry.

As a Business Development Manager, you would report directly to the Head of Sales and would have responsibility for cultivating and maintaining relationships amongst their larger clients, whilst also helping in developing and contributing to strategies to increase revenue across the organisation.

The Role:

  • Contacting prospective clients to establish and build relationships, explaining the benefits of their services
  • Working with Account Managers to follow up on leads brought to the business
  • Managing data to keep track of leads with a view to converting, and to re-engage larger lapse customers
  • Contributing to designing policies and projects which allow partnerships to thrive
  • Championing and managing projects to create strong partnerships
  • Liaising with clients to develop business relationships, strengthen existing relationships, to solve issues and to communicate needs
  • Contributing to developing and executing plans for strategic growth
  • Conducting market research
  • Reporting on key business metrics
  • Attending meetings as a representative of the company, delivering demonstrations to key clients and negotiating contracts

In order to achieve this, you will work with teams across the business. Our client envisages you working closely with their business, data and revenue analysts, finance team, HR team, the marketing team, sales trainers, and their product development teams to support you and increase your opportunity for success.

What we need from you–

  • Motivated to work towards sales goals and has consistently over-achieved set sales targets
  • Experienced in managing customer expectations and delivering excellent service
  • Experience within relationship management and commercial negotiations
  • Willing to learn about the industry and staying up to date with industry trends
  • Structured, disciplined, energetic, and committed to individual and group improvement
  • Positive and willing to take on board feedback and seek to be better
  • An open and honest team player
  • Analytical and confident with data analysis, with an excellent eye for detail and accuracy
    • A strong verbal communicator and confident in presenting to a variety of audiences

What you’ll get–

  • Basic Salary Negotiable between £40,000 - £45,000
  • £15,000 OTE, which is uncapped and guaranteed for the first 4 months on joining
