About the post–

POST- recruitment is recruiting a Training / Performance HR Manager for a well established and growing Financial Services firm in Wakefield.

The role would ideally suit a proven training and development specialist with a general HR understanding from a service based business.

  • Ownership of all the company’ training and continuing education programmes with the objective of ensuring that the knowledge and competency of the whole team is not just current and fit for purpose but market leading 
  • Design, implementation and monitoring of training and continuing education programmes for all members of the team
  • Delivery of non-specialist elements of training
  • Arranging for internal/external experts to deliver specialised elements of training
  • Arranging and, where appropriate delivering ad hoc and bespoke training
  • Arranging and delivering induction training alongside specialist colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with all required regulatory training
  • Design, implement and maintain a knowledge database and maintain up to date training materials
  • Ownership of human resources function with hands on day to day responsibility for HR and HR compliance issues
  • Oversight of HR systems and data and responsibility for ensuring HR resources are up to date (handbook, job descriptions, contracts etc.)
  • Oversight of those tasked with basic HR functions (monitoring holidays, absence, maternity, probation, etc.)
  • As a member of the senior management team, assist in the day to day management of the team when necessary
  • Involvement in recruitment and selection process including the testing of competency and behaviours
  • Involvement in the designing and implementation of performance management procedures including where necessary the exiting of members of the team
  • Input into organisational design and structure
  • Input into compensation, benefits and employee reward and retention schemes
  • Responsibility for employee engagement and communication, the HR calendar and activity

What we need from you–

  • Structured and delivered training in a regulated financial services environment
  • Structured and delivered training in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Strong track record in delivering training and coaching to groups and individuals
  • CIPD accreditation to level 5 an advantage
  • Experience of dealing with varied and challenging HR issues an essential
  • Ability to work at all levels of an organisation
